Everscape
Ahhh, Everscape. A world unlike any other that I have ever been to and at the same time, more similar to every world in existence. Named no doubt by the plane shifters of Shandaroth, whose titles are both as descriptive and unimaginative as Manathi fishmonger's songs, Everscape is exactly as it sounds: an expanse of world so vast that if you were to travel for your entire life you would never find the place at which you started. While the world is seemingly infinite, this appearance is redoubled by the most unique facet of Everscape, the demilords which rule each and every land within the world and which are as connected to the land as a dryad is to her tree, perhaps more so. These so called Demilords are beings who control the entirety of the land upon which they live, and can be anything from a human, to a very long lived bird, deer, bear a dragon, or in some cases a mountain, tree or lake. All those within the kingdoms of these Demilords are at their mercy as they controll not only the weather and land it's self, but command the loyalty of the plants and animals which dwell in their realms. The Demilords are myriad as the lands which they rule, and they live in delicate coexistence. One of the most remarkable things which I have ever witnessed, and the crowning aspect of Everscape is the way in which the lands themselves move. The Demilords have the power to move their lands in relation to one another, on your very doorstep, a lake or mountain range may appear where once there was a field, only magic or the power of a Demilord may stop this, and even then, some Demilords will violently assault the boarders of another Demilord's realm. All of these facets create the most unique world that I have ever visited and will see again. Now if I could only find my way back...
